Maternal Rage
Changing the Dance of Anger with Loved Ones
A self-paced course for mums who want to understand their anger, find compassion, feel empowered, and reconnect with those they love
Hello, I’m Dr Caroline Boyd, clinical psychologist, author and mum-of-two. I specialise in supporting mums with anger and anxiety.
If you’ve ever flipped your lid and thought “What’s wrong with me"?  You’re not bad. You’re not crazy. And you’re definitely not alone. Studies show 1 in 3 mums experience anger.
I created the Maternal Rage course to help you move from guilt and shame to understanding and repair – in just six, self-paced modules that fit into your busy life.

You’re not failing, you’re feeling. Anger is a normal human emotion. It’s neither good nor bad – it’s information. A signal that something isn’t right, that your needs aren’t being met, that you’re running on empty.
Motherhood makes anger inevitable. Becoming a mum changes everything – your body, brain, relationships and identity. The transition can be joyful and fulfilling, but it’s also exhausting and overwhelming.
🎯 Broken sleep that leaves you on edge
🎯 Invisible mental load that is never-endingÂ
🎯 Toddler meltdowns that test every ounce of patience
🎯 Feeling unseen or unsupported by your partner or family
🎯 Pressure to do it all perfectly and sacrifice your own needs
All of this – and more – builds up until even the smallest thing can tip you over the edge. Then comes the guilt. And the shame.
Let’s ditch the myth of Supermum. We’ve been led to believe that good mothers are endlessly patient, selfless and calm. But perfection isn’t possible – and isn’t healthy. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to learn how to repair, reconnect and show yourself the same compassion you give everyone else.
A supportive, non-judgemental approach to more peaceful mothering
In each module offering six self-paced 10-20 minute video lessons, you’ll learn:
WEEK 1Â What anger is, where it comes from and how to spot your triggers
WEEK 2 Tools and practices to halt, soothe and regulate your rage
WEEK 3 Why anger is hidden in motherhood and the tyranny of perfectionism
WEEKÂ 4 How to change the dance of anger to repair and reconnect with your child
WEEK 5 How to ditch self-sacrifice for self-compassion and be kinder to yourself
WEEK 6 How to communicate your unmet needs to your partner or family
Also included with your course :
LIVE Q&AÂ A powerful group experience to ask me questions and connect with other mums
TAILORED WORKBOOK To guide you through exercises, visualisations and meditations

Anna – Mum
"Thank you so much for putting this course together. I'd be amazed if there isn't a mother out there who hasn't experienced negative feelings around anger and found themselves struggling, yet it's hard to find resources and support which approach this with the compassion your course has."Â
Dr Claire Plumbly – Psychologist
“Maternal rage is a truly excellent course. As a clinical psychologist this is what I’ll be referring to my clients to when they want to overcome anger and irritability. Any women needing to feel more in control are going to come away knowing exactly what they need to do for themselves."
Lizzie – Mum
“I found this course so nurturing, accessible and engaging. Each module is crafted to guide you to better understand why rage happens and what you can do about it. Each video is a bite-sized nugget of information – the perfect format for any busy mum."
Dr Rosie Gilderthorp, Psychologist
"I love this course that Caroline has created because it gives us a toolkit for dealing with those hot moments that naturally come up for us in the unbelievably stressful life of a parent. She offers a non-judgmental and compassionate way of understanding what's going on and how to deal with it better.
I know that it's going to make my parenting better...I will be recommending it to friends, family, clients. Anybody who could use a bit of support for dealing with anger as a new parent - I think we all do to be honest."
